US police say remains found in a burned-out California cabin have been positively identified as those of fugitive Christopher Dorner.
Dorner, a disgruntled 33-year-old former policeman, allegedly killed three people, including a police officer, before going on the run last week.On the sixth day of a massive manhunt for Dorner, police closed in on him near Big Bear in the mountains east of Los Angeles.Authorities say Dorner exchanged gunfire with state game wardens before seeking shelter in a vacant cabin.Another shootout followed before the cabin went up in flames.Remains found in the charred ruins hours later have now been confirmed as Dorner's.Thursday, February 14, 2013
